Nexus 7 Help / Re: File transfer?
« on: November 06, 2012, 01:40:24 PM »
Yes, that's the reason I was trying to find a way to xfer the files from the tablet to the mp3 player...my pc was in the shop.
I guess, because of the want of replies, that there is no solution.
Thanks!

Nexus 7 Help / File transfer?

Is it possible?
I have some podcasts that I downloaded to my N7 via doggcatcher, but I want to listen to them on my Samsung MP3 player.  How can I do that? No Bluetooth.
Thanks.

Nexus 7 Help / Alarm!
« on: September 19, 2012, 08:09:45 AM »
This morning, my N7 began making a sound kind of between a phone ringing and a burglar alarm  - dee-dah, dee-dah....dee-dah, dee-dah....etc.
I couldn't turn it off...hand to power down the tablet.
I'm wondering if this had anything to do with me, last night, pressing the mic icon and saying "Remind me to pick up clothes from laundry tomorrow".  And if so, how do I turn the thing off next time?
Lastly, what is that function ("telling" it to remind me to do something) called?

Nexus 7 Help / Temporary suspension of automatic capitalization
« on: September 14, 2012, 08:36:35 AM »
I want to write the phrase "et al", but N7 always capitalizes the A in al (thinks it's a name, and automatically capitalizes the first letter).  How do I correct that on a "this time only" basis?
(I can't even find the function that does this.  Is there a toggle for Auto Caps?  If there is, what I'm looking for is a way to suspend that function temporarily).
Thx.

When I open Chrome Bookmarks is the first page I came too...

Thanks, yes, that's the exact problem I was having.  Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Thanks JayJ.
I'll keep trying.  Hasn't worked for me yet, but I'm admittedly bad at understanding instructions.
I'll just keep messing around with it.
Thanks again.

Once you have selected bookmarks at the bottomat the bottom of what?  PC browser?, tap bookmarks below the toolbar at the top below the toolbar at the top of what? and you'll have the option to select Desktop and Other bookmarks.

Finally if you select devices at the bottom of what? next to bookmarks you'll have access to websites that you have recently had open or still open on your Chrome desktop browser.

Thanks for your reply.  I'm trying to figure it out. ;D

Nexus 7 Help / Bookmarks

I'm having trouble finding bookmarks for websites.
I press on the star while in Chrome on the N7, but don't know where to go to find the resulting bookmark as on desktop version of Chrome.
Any help?  I'm probably overlooking something really obvious.
Also, where is the "Apps tray"?
Thanks.

Yes, there's a Lastpass app...14 day free trial, then you have to pay $12/year.  Syncs with your desktop, works a little differently.

Nexus 7 Help / Re: Delete Albums or photos from N7 Gallery
« on: July 31, 2012, 03:00:44 PM »
Thanks.  Makes perfect sense, since no SD card for 7, and it's not named Gallery, and the subdirectories aren't named by their common names.  Why didn't I think of that?
I'll try it.

Thanks to all who responded.
I found my answer.
www.google.com/calendar does the trick.

Anyone?  Surely someone must be able to view their Google Calendar on the 7.
