Nexus 7 Help / Internet search problem« on: March 25, 2013, 01:07:31 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I hope someone can help me. I love my Nexus 7 and searching the internet is usually a breeze, but recently, I can access a site, such as Amazon, but when I try searching within that site, nothing happens. I can type in what it is I am looking for, but when I click the search button, as I say, nothing happens?? If anyone can tell me why, I would really appreciate it. I have tried searching to see if this has been answered elsewhere, but not found anything. Trevor 3
Nexus 7 Help / screen lock and alarm stopped working« on: February 12, 2013, 01:53:39 AM »
Hi Everyone,
I hope someone can help me. Two problems have developed with my Nexus 7 and I can't seem to resolve either. 1) My alarm has simply stopped sounding. I can set it as normal and it shows that I have set it, but when the time comes for it to go off, nothing happens! (I do have the sound turned up before you ask). 2) My screen lock no longer works. Again, as far as I can see it is set up ok in settings. It shows that the screen should lock after 5 minutes and it also shows that it will require my pin in order to unlock it, but it simply does not lock. Both these functions have worked ok in the past and as far as I know I have not done anything to stop them working, or done anything to the Nexus to change any settings. (although who knows, I could have done something unintentionally)! Anyway, both problems are very frustrating and if anyone can help I should be very grateful. Trevor 4
Nexus 7 Help / Searching content in Nexus 7« on: December 12, 2012, 02:53:30 AM »
Hi Everyone,
I think I have a fairly basic question, but it is something I have so far failed to work out. Please, when I download something such as a video clip onto my Nexus, how do I then find where it is? I want to search for it by name, ie: if I download a clip from Planet Earth for instance, how do I then search for, "Planet Earth"? I have a file searcher, but that just looks for files rather than the content within files. I presume there must be a file searcher out there that will fit the bill, I just haven't managed to find it yet and would be very grateful for some help. Many thanks,
