I have rooted the Nexus7 device. It all seemed to work.

When I connect my 3G USB dongle to my Nexus and click on the PPP app, it just doesn't do anything.

Am I missing something here?

I have a new Nexus7 (but it doesn't have 3G access built in......just wifi). I would like to try connect my Nexus7 to 3G using a USB dongle I already use with my laptop.

I am aware of the PPP widget and indeed have installed it. But I'm not clear how to then make it work?.

I have a micro USB to USB 2.0 connector so I have no problem physically connecting my dongle to the Nexus.

My 3G Dongle is with the "3" Network in the UK.

Any advice?.
