Nexus 7 Help / Re: Nexus 7 Warranty

Yes rooting voids your warranty. But if you need warranty service, it is a simple process to replace CWM with the stock recovery and re-lock the bootloader and you are no longer rooted.

just wondering did you watch this video?

skip to about 1:20

So depends on the country

I'd like to start myself
The tech reference manual Nvidia Tegra 3 HD Mobile Processors
that I have from a pack is 1973 pages!
so there is going to be a lot of reading to know about all of it
From the os to the graphic chip. I'll have to make a cheat sheet or 2

Nexus 7 Apps / Re: Non Google Play Store Android apps
« on: July 10, 2012, 11:24:10 PM »
Yes, the Nexus 7 is not 'locked'.  You can import or download any Android App you want with no restrictions as long as it's compatible with the 4.1 version of Android.  There's no special 'procedure'.  You just download the App from whatever site you buy it at or you move it to your device through the microUSB hooked up to your laptop/desktop.  Easy as pie.

If it's not locked then why are people going to root it?

and buckled down after a nights though and most of the day
and said yup. Looking forward to playing around with it.

I read all different reviews but noticed non really mentioned
downloading apps from other places besides google play and
putting them on the N7. I would imagine you could.
