Blazing fast Quadrant Standard results. Post yours here.
« on: July 19, 2012, 08:27:34 AM »
As expected our Nexus 7's are living up to the promise of being extremely fast. Here is a test I did last night. Post yours here. Will be interesting to see what rooted N7's will be able to achieve, so please let us know if yours is rooted when posting results. If you want the Quadrant app go here, or to Google Play.

Rooted on stock ROM running Motley v1.0.3 build 17 kernel at 1.6ghz with LCD density at 160. I've seen higher scores from other people with this setup but I can't complain about the performance I'm getting. This tablet flies through everything I throw at it.

My two core galaxy note gets 8600. quadrant scores mean very little. Rooting wont make any difference to the score.

no it dosent
rooting allows you to do things that can change it it, but rooting itself does not speed it up in any way

Rooting and overclocking are two very different things.

I think you like to argue, so I will let you believe that rooting will have no effect on the N7's ability to perform at faster speeds. I will also let Strong and United know that his CPU speed that matches the X One was just luck and not the improvements he was able to make after rooting.  ???

Let me step in to say that we are developing a topic dedicated to rooting on the Nexus 7, where we will explore the advantages of rooting and the many options it offers like over clocking. Remember we encourage discussions on opposing opinions, but remain courteous in your replies.
