In Modern Combat 4 you play either one of the 'good guy's or in a unique twist you can don the identity of the villain, one 'Edward Page'.  The game uses some pretty heavy and impressive cinematic elements to tell the story and these split up the various 'missions' you must undergo.  There's great weapon selection and you have great maneuvability options including taking cover, flank and watch along with all the staples such as run, jump, dive etc.

Now the game does go a little overboard with the character acting and dialogue and at times you wish you can just dive right into the action.  But in a way this is good because when the action comes...it's awesome.   You can sweep your fire by holding the action button down and dragging your thumb, throw grenades, choose between auto or manual aim.  There's also a bunch of handy 'touch' gestures and swipes that help you navigate and do combat more effectively on the Nexus 7.  Graphics in this game are for the most part outstanding with rich textures, multi-layered and complex animations and stunning lighting and explosion effects.  The Nexus 7 does a good job of rendering and keeping up with things although you might see the occasional stutter.   Gameloft will probably issue an update at some point to make things absolutely buttery smooth...but it's pretty good as it is.  If you're looking for a cutting edge 'console style' shooter to play with this weekend, fire up 'Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour'.  I think you'll enjoy it.
