**Update:  Google Has Now Updated Their 'Device Availability Page' To Show The Nexus 7 Is Now Available To Order In France, Germany And Spain for €199/8GB and €249/16GB which translates to $248US and $311US, a slight premium over US prices.**

Now that the Google Play Store seems to have caught up with its lack of supply it appears Google is about to start rolling out the Nexus 7 to a number of European Union countries starting with France and Germany.  The technology blog 'TechCrunch' is reporting today that multiple retailers have leaked that French retailers Fnac, Darty and Boulanger will all be selling the tablet beginning September 3rd.  Pricing seems pretty consistent among the three with the 16GB model selling for €249.90 ($312, including sales tax).

Apparently there's been a little drama in the country in regards to who gets to sell the much anticipated 7 inch slate with 'Material.net', an ecommerce site, apparently being turned down by Google to carry the tablet at launch because they don't fill the company's requirement of having physical stores.  'Material.net' even published a rant against Google on their site but in the end they are promising customres that they will in fact have the Nexus 7 to sell.   It seems the site is committed to simply buying tablets from other suppliers and will sell them at cost to satisfy their loyal customers.

The French aren't the only one's that will be celebrating Nexus 7 Day on the 3rd of Septembre however.  Late word from German retailer 'Saturn' is that the tablet will also start selling in Germany on the same day for €249.  Now the Nexus 7 is expected to be a hot seller when it comes to the EU since much hype has been generated and hence demand with the successful launch...and shortage here in the U.S.  Other EU countries should follow France and Germany in selling the tablet shortly after if in fact others aren't announced for the Sept 3rd launch.

For those eager to get their hands on one, several of the retailers listed above have expressed that they will be taking pre-orders shortly so that probably will be your best bet in getting one of the first lot.   Those who don't preorder will have to take their chances come the first week of September.
