Touchscreen dead spot issues

So after doing some searching I found that I'm not the only one who has had issues with the touchscreen randomly producing dead spots that won't respond to inputs. I contacted Google today and the guy said they can send me a replacement once their system gets fixed in a few days. I'm just wondering if I anyone else has had this issue and gotten it resolved with a replacement or if your tablet is working free from this issue.
