I own a Nexus 7 and have been using the standard launcher that comes with it. I have apps and folders that are on the main screen as well as the other 2 screens to the left and also the 2 screens to the right. I just downloaded the Google Now launcher. I like how you can scroll left to go into Google Now but it seems to only have two screens for apps, the main screen and the screen to the right. Is that true or is there a way to access more screens to place apps and folders on? Thanks for your help.

Nexus 7 General Discussion / How do I use a website that requires a SABA LMS plugin?« on: February 01, 2014, 11:10:57 PM »
I have a Nexus 7 tablet running the newest version of Android. I have a website that I use that's an internal website for the company and is used for training purposes. For that reason I can't post it here but I can easily use it on my Mac computer and can view the website, videos, etc. Unfortunately I can't use the website on my Android tablet. When I try to use it it says it's missing a plugin. It seems to be looking for something for SABA LMS. I looked it up and it seems to be a learning management system made by a company called SABA. I was unable to get help from them and the company I work for is unable to help me. I actually have the same issue on my iPhone. I've tried using both Chrome and Firefox on Android and both give the same message.
There must be some type of plugin I need. Does anyone know what plugin I can use or possibly another web browser, media player, or some way that I can get this to work? Thanks in advance. 3
Nexus 7 Apps / Looking for an app to track my weight training« on: January 12, 2014, 12:07:06 AM »
Hello,
I have one of those home gym/weight sets for doing weights at home. The actual model I have is the Hoist H100. I'm also into running a lot and for running I use RunKeeper. It's wonderful to keep track of my running each year and throughout the year. What I'd like is something like that for weight training. Basically what I'd like to do is be able to digitize my weight training. Currently I have a piece of paper that I photocopy that has each of the stages of the weight set. I track it each day I do weights and basically for each stage I track the weight and number of reps so I know what to set the weight to each time I do it and then I can track as I increase the weight amount of repetitions. I realize that this isn't a general thing like running but is there an app that can be customized so that I could customize it for the weight set I have so that I can use it for my tracking. Thank you in advance for your help. 4
Nexus 7 Apps / Is Talkatone the best Google Voice app or should I use another one?« on: January 11, 2014, 01:12:22 AM »
I have become a big user of Google Voice and have several phone numbers via multiple email accounts. On my iPhone I have tried several apps and found Talkatone to be among the others but there were some close competitors. Now that I have an Android tablet I have tried Talkatone. It is nice but the UI doesn't seem as nice as the iOS version. I have tried the Google Voice app but like on the iPhone it's not a strong contender. Are there any other Google Voice apps that I should look into? Thanks in advance.

Nexus 7 Apps / What is a preferred app for FTP?« on: January 01, 2014, 12:30:28 AM »
I am a relatively new Android user and am looking for a good FTP app for Android. I work for a business that has multiple websites so I do some relatively heavy FTP use such as downloading files, uploading files, and editing files. There seems to be so many in the Google Play store. Are there certain ones I should look into for the type of use I'm looking for? Thanks in advance

New Nexus 7 General Discussion Topics (2nd Gen) / How do I find which app is adding apps to my tablet?« on: December 31, 2013, 11:43:53 PM »
I have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them.
I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that. I find these new apps to be very annoying and would like to find out what is causing it and how I can turn it off or remove the offending app? Thanks! 7
Nexus 7 Apps / Printing Apps« on: December 26, 2013, 08:24:59 PM »
I just got a new Android tablet for the holidays. I'm beginning to set it up and install apps. I'm looking for a good app for printing. I have a Brother printer. It doesn't have it's own WiFi but it's connected via both Ethernet and USB to the home wired/wireless network. Are there any good apps that I can install on my Nexus 7 so that I can begin using it to print? I'd like to be able to print things such as websites I'm visiting, emails, pdf's, documents on QuickOffice, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help. 8
Nexus 7 Apps / Looking for a good Voice Recorder App« on: October 29, 2013, 09:28:10 PM »
I just recently got my first Android tablet, a Nexus 7. Some people I know who have tablets seem to have gotten a Voice Recorder app but I don't see one on the Nexus 7. Are there any specific voice recorder apps I should look at? I'm not looking anything fancy but something that I can simply record voice notes with to listen to on the tablet in the future or even share via email.
Thank you in advance. 9
Nexus 7 Help / What do I use for security (AntiVirus, etc) such as Apps?« on: October 21, 2013, 03:55:00 PM »
I'm new to Android and just purchased a 2013 Nexus 7. What do I need to do for security on it? I've heard about the Lookout Security and AntiVirus app. Is this something I should get or should I look into some other options for security such as AntiVirus, Malware protection, etc. Thanks!

Nexus 7 Apps / Journaling Apps« on: October 17, 2013, 08:11:10 PM »
I forgot to ask this in an earlier post about Android apps. I recently purchased a Nexus 7 and also purchased a Nexus 7 for my fiancee. One of her favorite things is to keep a journal and do journaling. She'd like to move that to electronic format on her Nexus 7. Security would be a plus such as password protection for the app. Are there any good journaling apps for Android? Thanks.

Nexus 7 Apps / Best Reminders/To Do Apps for Android?« on: October 12, 2013, 11:14:04 PM »
I have been an iPad user for quite some time and I have enjoyed using apps such as Apple's own Reminders app and the Due app. Also, I've worked with To Do apps such as Clear, OmniFocus, LifeTopix, and Things. Now that I have a Nexus 7 I am looking for both a good Reminders type of app and a To Do app. Any suggestions of Android apps that are similar to these? Thanks!

Nexus 7 Apps / What is the best "Back to my Mac" app?« on: October 12, 2013, 01:16:27 AM »
I just purchased the 2013 Nexus 7 so am relatively new to Android. At home I use a Mac desktop and a Mac laptop. With my iPad I have an app that I can use to access my Mac on the go. I'm able to view the desktop and actually use the desktop, transfer files, etc. What type of app is available for Android that would do the same thing? Thanks in advance for your help.
