From what I understand, the release date on the Nexus 7 32gb 3g NSPA+ is November 13th. Where do we get it from?? I just called Staples, and they say they don't carry that model. I explained that the model hasn't been released yet, and it might be just like Staples had the 32 gb model, but couldn't sell it until the 10-29-12!! Anyway, the salesman told me they will not carry that model.

I own a nexus 7 also and I'm finding the thing more and more annoying to use generally... Do they actually want people to buy these things??? Nothing works properly. The app store is practically alien compared to the phone app store and most apps don't even work on this white elephant. Anyway the reason for this reply is to ask any of you guys above a question.. Is it possible to actually start a topic on this nexus app, or is it only good to read and reply to others ? I'm not finding a way to start a topic.
I would appreciate a reply. Thanks.
I am a newbie too. With that said, if I was you, I to return it and get something else. If in your opinion nothing works properly and you considered it a white elephant, your mind is almost completely made up that the unit is bad. Life is too short to be bother by something when you don't have to be. Take it back quickly.

Call me a Luddite, but I hate parasitic fees. I just can't see paying $300 for a N7 3g, and then spending $300+ every year for the duration of ownership just to get a data feed to it.
Naw, not going to call you a Luddite, and most of us hate the extra fees too. However, that is the way of life these days. I recall when gas was 20cents a gallon, and top of the line Mercedes was about 10k. Not any more!! With that said, you could just use you N7 when you around free wifi, and home. Other than that, it seems one has to pay.. No way around that!

Remember that just because the device is 3g capable, it doesn't mean that you will automatically have 3g connectivity. You must pay a monthly service fee to your local carrier for the data access.
I found that out too. At first I was thinking connectivity was built in for free!! However, after asking a couple questions, I found out it wasn't the case. Going to try to get the cheapest local carrier that has 3g..
Be interesting to see what that 'cheapest local carrier' is going to charge. Keep us updated cehowardn7.
Will do! They are going to be sick of me at Staples. This will be the 3rd time taking a Nexus 7 back. I took the 16 gb back, and got a 32gb. Now, they have come with the 3g version of the 32gb, and all within my 14 day return period. The 13th is my 14th day. So, I will take this back on the 11th..

You can't open the back, Unplug the 8 gig drive, then plug in a 32 gig drive?
Nope!

I was in my 30 day return period, so I was able to exchange both of mine at no cost for the 32.
What store has the 30 day return on electronics? Walmart, Staples, BestBuy, etc, all have 14/15 day returns on electronics, and price matching too.

No, the N7 32 (wi-fi) is not the N7 32 HSPA+ (3G).
Thank you, now I understand. The previous answer was saying that all 32gb Nexus 7s are 3g. Not the case. The only Nexus 7 that is 3g is the one that is coming out on 11-13-12, the Nexus 7 3gb NSPA+. The reason I am asking is because I have the Nexus 7 32gb, but if I can get 3g and the other options for $50 more, I am going for it.. Thanks again,

Yes, the 3g model only comes in 32gb.
So that means the Nexus 7 32gb that is in the stores now is 3g too?

I am a newbie with question. Is the Nexus 7 32 HSPA+ model that won't be out until November 13th, the ONLY Nexus 7 that is 3G?
Also, will the Nexus 7 32gb HSPA+ model be available in stores or only available from Google?

You will still have monthly fees for data usage whether it be monthly payment or pre-pay...
Wow, I got a good fast one day big learning curve!! Thanks much.. Yesterday, I was under the impression that the $299 model had its own provider such as Att, etc. And you can have connectivity. But, that is not the case. My wife wants connectivity all the time, so I will have to get her some service. I did make a good move on catching the 32gb before my return time limit was up on my 16gb Nexus 7.

All 3 versions of the Nexus 7 all have the same free Wi-fi. So whether at your home, star bucks, airport, etc, it is free.
The HPSA+ phone allows one to put a SIM into the tablet to use cell service for data, but this is NOT free!!
So is it worth spending another 50 bucks and then having to spend around another 30 bucks per month for the data? If I am on the road, I would just find a free star bucks to drive to and use the wi fi.
I am still trying to decide if the 50 bucks is worth it to go from 16 to 32 gig when I play no have no video on the unit and nothing else I can think of takes that much space. (Or am I missing something?)
Wow, I am learning big time with my first 2 or 3 post. Thanks much for the big CORRECTIONS fellas.. Much appreciated. I was thinking the NSPA+ was allowing the N7 to connect to att service anywhere it is provided. Wi-fi is nothing but a wireless adapter you need access to wireless service. Again, I was thinking this was wireless service for the extra $50. I am not interested in phone service. In fact, I hate phones!! Thanks again to all for the correction!

But wifi is already included in the base unit so what does your comment about adding 3g and wifi mean?
I am a newbie so bear with me while I try to answer!! Yes, it has wi-fi built in but I am talking about PROVIDER SERVICE. You have to have service from somewhere to connect your wi-fi!!! Well, from what I understand, the NSPA+ model comes with SERVICE. That means I can always be connected whereever att phones are connected. In addition, are the previous models 3G? Being a newbie, I don't know. But, I do know that they mention it on the NSPA+ model.. In addition, this model isn't out yet, it will come out on November 13th. Also, this model will sell for $299, instead of $249 like the REGULAR Nexus 7 32gb. I have the regular one, and was getting ready to get provider service for my wife so she can always be connected. With the new NSPA+ it has it on service provider. I just picked this one up today.. $249. But, it will be going back in 13 days, and picked up the USPA+ model. I may have to wait a day or two. But, I will have service built in. Could you come back and tell me if the newbie (me)is right or wrong??? To further prove my point, here is a link to explain! https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_32gb_hspa

I would pay 49 dollars for double the space on pretty much any computer, tablet, music player etc. Without a doubt on a device that doesn't have a slot for extra sdram. I think it is a nobrainer. Music, pictures, games. Apps. Books. The ease of mind of not jamming your device to the gills is a reason enough for me. I have over 50 gig of music, 20 gigs of Karaoke, games can run close to 2 gigs on their own. I don't like juggling.
Would you pay ANOTHER $49 for 3G and WI FI included? Enter the Nexus 7 32GB NSPA+ $299 Tell me life isn't sweet.. ceh, old dirty and fast!

Great news! I am a newbie, and I am on this hot. Just returned the N7 16gb for and even swap for the N7 32gb, I was within my 14 day return. This NSPA+ model will be out around Nov 13th. No matter, this one is going back too.
