So can i use things like moboplayer & poweramp on the nexus 7? Got these on my HTC Desire HD. I am a total dunce when it comes to technology.
Yep, I don't see why not.

Hi Banaum and welcome to the forum. Hope you have as much fun here as the rest of us. Yes, I'm sure you'd be able to install the Amazon market or another if you would like. Or even just download the .apk files.

Hi radio,
I think you've made the right choice on your tablet. From the looks of it, it should come with about 6-6.5GB of space free. And don't forget you will have the cloud to use and you should be able to buy a cheap micro-USB to USB cord and a SD card adapter or flash drive, that's what I'm going to do.
Sounds good Eddie, thanks for the input!

You're quite welcome, that's what I'm here for. If you need anything else feel free to post again or PM me.

Tapatalk is now installed in the forum for those that prefer to use it.
That's great news, I like using Tapatalk, now just to get my old slow tablet back up and running till I get the Nexus 7.

Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Eddie and a geek, as I'm sure most of us that are here are. I love all kinds of electronic devices, tablets, computers, smartphones, gaming consoles you name it I like it. I'm 16 years old, and hoping to have my Nexus 7 by Christmas, I know it's a long time away but at least by then there will hopefully be a very large community here, let's hope! Feel free to say hi, I don't bite, at least not often.

Hi Eddie - 11,
On the link, whilst this does take MicroSD cards I think it still needs a standard USB port to connect to in which case a non starter unless you can use usb storage through MicrosSD to USB to MicroUSB connection. Does that work?
Personally wasn't that fussed about the 8-gb then thought about how many films that wouldn't hold; def not enough for holiday purposes.
Actually am i being thick here; would the same usb to micro-usb cable that allows you to connect usb storage stick to galaxy s2 phone be a potential?
As in something like this: (sorry for putting a shop lonk here; i dont work there)
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/micro-usb-to-usb-converter-for-samsung-galaxy-s3-s2-note-p29842.htm
Yes, that should work fine. My bad, the link I posted must not be what I thought it was, darn me for staying up to late! Sorry for the mis-information about that product, but that micro-USB to USB cable then a SD card reader or flash drive or even a hard drive should work perfectly fine. That's why I'm not worried about the no SD, sure it's an extra cable I gotta keep with me but it's worth it if you want/need the extra storage, right?
I already got a card reader, like 6 flash drives, and 8 SD cards so the only thing I'll need is the USB cable. Of course I won't be getting the tablet for a few months so don't have to worry about that right now.
Regards, Eddie.
