i dont know why but all of a sudden it started allowing me to transfer. i have no idea why...i did nothing but let it sit on the plug for over 30 minutes. but hey...it works haha.
I wonder if this sort of thing is an N7 quirk. I've had similar experiences with other functions - something does not work, does not work, and still does not work and then suddenly, magically, it works. It's kind of like the unit has to take some time to figure itself out. Of course it simply cannot be a PEBCAK... Oh. Smart lass wanted.

It was the finger that rarely causes any trouble. I only have the one well-behaved finger. The rest of them seem to be thumbs.

It took me a while to find it, too. And I really hated that I had to turn off the MAC filter to get to where I needed to be, ( Wifi/settings/Advanced) even if only temporarily. I'm perplexed as to why they would make it so difficult.

Thanks, Frank. I hadn't seen that app. Might give it a try.

I have to laugh. My first thought was "Oh, drat. I've never been popular, but I had been hoping for some karma someday, you know, inner beauty and all that." Thanks for the giggle!

With you on this JayJ. Things that need to rotate do, can live with locked portrait mode on Home. I don't spend a lot of time on that screen.

The only Apple thing I have ever owned is one of the earlier iPod Nano devices. It's great and I love it for walking, but never had any desire to "cross over" into the more powerful devices. I try to support open source whenever I can. This technology is the last refuge of the buckaroo. I love watching the tablet market -who's got the latest and greatest, and what will the Google/Amazon/Apple responses be? We consumers will be the ultimate winners. I expect I'll have a crate of ageing tablets before I curl up my toes.

I had been planning to use it just for e-reading, and movie-watching, and Google News. But I have found the email and calendar syncing so useful at work that it's rapidly becoming a productivity tool. At last I can see my personal calendar and my work calendar in one interface, so I can stop putting my personal appointments in my workplace calendar. Since I leave my workplace calendar open for all in the company to see, this restores a good measure of privacy. Battery life supports taking it to meetings. Have free wifi in the office complex, so works well for me.

There is a setting that allows auto rotation for apps that permit it (some do not, usually games). User Guide P. 14. Sincere question: Am I missing the point?

It was tough to choose between the resolution, the price and the processor. Taken together, they are what fueled my decision to buy. But I voted for the display. It is really sharp. Love it.

I rooted mine last weekend and it's great. I am so glad I did, although I admit to some trepidation going into it. Since I hadn't installed much of anything, I did not have much to rebuild - mostly just my email settings.

That's so funny! I actually did laugh out loud. I swear I had already tried that, and it just kept giving me new recommendations. But because you answered my plea, it worked!

Thanks, Coolbreeze. Works well. next question: Is there anything I can do to make those "Recommendations" go away? I did manage to get rid of the Magazine display.
