When not in use can the tablet be left on its charger continuously - without damage.
If not, at what point should it be plugged in ... and unplugged from the charger? Thanks. 2
Nexus 7 Help / Re: Firefox and Flash« on: June 26, 2013, 11:29:10 PM »... I'm using 11.1.115.63 which is the most up to date version of Flash and it's working fine on my Nexus 7 alongside Firefox from the Play store. But not in Firefox - at least not here. FF and Flash are not now sympatico, so the links say, but Flash does apparently work in other browsers. That Tetra issue may be another factor; it has been stated that Flash won't work on Tetra 2. If that's so, perhaps it applies to Tetra 3 as well. 3
Nexus 7 Help / Re: Firefox and Flash« on: June 25, 2013, 11:17:33 PM »That's rubbish, Adobe has never supported Jelly Bean so all versions of Flash are for ICS and previous versions of Android. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-watch-flash-videos-firefox-android https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/why-cant-firefox-mobile-play-flash-on-my-device and several other sites explain where Flash mobile development stands - especially with respect to the Firefox 4.x browser. 4
Nexus 7 Help / Re: Firefox and Flash« on: June 25, 2013, 09:42:28 PM »Flash does not work with Chrome, Chrome uses HTML5 which is replacing Flash... The "latest" Flash version is not appropriate for Android as Adobe no longer supports that technology on mobile devices. I have uninstalled Flash - not worth the hassle. Whatever technology CHROME is using, it renders Yahoo videos. Thanks. 5

FF is the Firefox browser. As mentioned earlier, Flash works with Chrome.
Version 11.1 is installed. 6

Yes, the recommended older Adobe Flash is installed.
One forum post indicated that FF won't render Flash on an Android system using a Tetra 2 processor. This is Tetra 3. Perhaps that's the problem?? 7

Flash is installed and working on many sites.
But Firefox (2.0) won't play those videos from Yahoo (constant load symbol) or Hulu (blank, black window) - and likely others as well. Chrome plays them. Acts as if there's a Flash blocker on line, but that's not the case. All Cookies are being accepted. Tested both in normal and "request desktop" modes. Where have we gone wrong? 8
Nexus 7 Help / Re: "Reading list"« on: June 15, 2013, 09:26:19 PM »I searched "light/dark"+"reader list" Very likely. No wonder nothing was mentioned in the manuals; it's a Firefox feature that appears on only specially coded pages. Thanks for sleuthing this out! bs 9
Nexus 7 Help / Re: "Reading list"« on: June 15, 2013, 07:58:55 PM »Was it a web page, or a book or reading app? Indeed, a WEB page. But of a type and location I've been unable to find again, despite the history file. If only the elusive "reading list" could be accessed easily... 10
Nexus 7 Help / "Reading list"« on: June 15, 2013, 03:14:54 PM »
I once happened on a page that offered - at the top-left - to be added to a "reading list" and it had an option for LIGHT/DARK (reverse) text.
There is nothing on this in the manuals/guides and I haven't been able to invoke those features again. How's it done? Thanks. 11
Nexus 7 Help / Re: email d/d« on: June 11, 2013, 05:33:53 PM »
That had crossed my mind as well, thanks. Just discovered that d/d works between the TRASH bin
and the INBOX - both ways - but not to other folders on this POP3 client. Onward... 12
Nexus 7 Help / Re: email d/d« on: June 11, 2013, 09:42:39 AM »
Thanks again.
It's apparent that d/d doesn't work, but if I correctly followed your suggestion, it also fails... While viewing message headers in SENT, I check marked one or several. Then I touched the OLDBOX folder. The messages did not copy or move from SENT to OLDBOX. 13
Nexus 7 Help / Re: email d/d« on: June 10, 2013, 09:36:38 PM »
It's not following that scheme here. The server is POP3, yet there are INBOX, DRAFTS, SEND, OLDBOX, AND TRASH folders, which is consistent with the way Thunderbird configured those folders on a PC.
On Nexus there is no "folder" icon to the left of the TRASH bin at the top of the screen. However, there is one to the right of TRASH. Tapping it after selecting a message results in toggling the read/unread state of that message. When a message is selected by pausing on it for a moment the number 1 appears. If two are selected the number 2 appears, etc. The messages can be dragged, but they won't drop into other folders. 14
Nexus 7 Help / Re: email d/d« on: June 10, 2013, 01:57:44 PM »What email app are you using? Whatever Nexus self-configured when I inputted the ISP name/POP-3/SMTP, etc. via SETTINGS|ADD ACCOUNT|MAIL. It appears to be nameless. 15
Nexus 7 Help / email d/d« on: June 09, 2013, 08:48:03 PM »
A pop-3/smtp client is configured for my ISP, and it is operative...but for drag and drop between folders.
A finger press on a message brings up the expected d/d dialog, but the message will not drop into a folder.
