I'm thinking about upgrading to a Nexus 10 16g tablet. I've noticed trying to find out where to buy one that the 16g version are sold out everywhere. The 32g is available right now but I don't think I need to spend the extra $100 for my needs.

Anyone heard or know when the 16g might be available again?

Nexus 7 General Discussion / How to remove my data?
« on: December 16, 2012, 10:13:01 AM »
I'm still pretty new to Nexus/Android stuff. I bought a Nexus 7 about a month ago but I'm now thinking about switching out to the Nexus 10.

What is the easiest way for me to remove my email login settings and data? I'm assuming I would need to somehow remove my Google login information as well.

Ahh....so maybe the icons were there in my original build of 4.x of the OS and then once it updated to 4.2 it changed to be in a different bar.

Thanks JayJ....

That was it. Putting my finger right around the wifi icon and coming down displays a sort of settings type bar with that info. If you put your finger all the way over the the right or left corner and pull down nothing happens (which is what I was doing). Come over just a little and it works. Although I still could've sworn when those icons used to be on the notifications bar.

Thanks for the heads up.

Correct. I just got a Nexus 7 a couple days ago and all the tips/tricks talk about the money but I didn't seem to have mine. So a little Google searching and come to find out the offer expired at the end of September.

I will also say that although I would prefer to have the factory icons back but after some reading and looking in the Apps store I found a free app called Rotation Locker. I have that icon on my home page and it seems to be doing the trick. I also put the settings icon on my home page. So, I have a work around but as I said I would prefer for it to have the factory icons where it's supposed to.

To get the notifications bar I have to put my finger at the top in the center and pull down. It does seem to fly out from the left more than the right but still I have to put my finger in the middle. If I try to pull down from the left or the right edge of the screen nothing happens.

Still I think what I am displaying is the notificaitons bar. It has the Time at the top left of the bar, then the day and date, and then the 3 horizontal lines that are the Delete All icon. That's it. No settings icon or rotate lock icon.

Nexus 7 General Discussion / rotate lock and settings icon not visible
« on: November 26, 2012, 10:54:23 PM »
I'm new to nexus 7 and android OS but as the subject says my rotate lock and settings icons that used to be in the notification bar are now gone. I just got my nexus a couple of days ago and I think I've gone through 2 updates. I'm not sure if an update was the cause or not. I just noticed the were no longer there. All of my Google searches on the issue havent come up with any answers.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get them back?
