Try Fitness buddy it does all that you mention. I'm using version 1.2 I believe.

Can you update direct from 4.2.2 to 4.4? I've skipped on 4.3 because of the loss of Root.
Uodate: used Mark Shippen's toolkit and after replacing bootloader to 4.28 flawless update to 4.4. Then easy peasy re - root.
