Nexus 7 Help / Can I hide notification bar icons / battery and clock?

Does anyone know if there is a way to temporarily hide the icons on the top?  When I'm watching movies I would love to get rid of the distraction of the battery level and Wi-Fi indicator and clock.  Thanks!

Nexus 7 Audio/Video / Does anyone know anything about sound quality?

Hi,

I will be using the Nexus 7 primarily to watch t.v. shows and movies.  I will be using headphones.  I know that for the price I can't expect movie theater quality audio, but is it going to majorly turn me off?  I hope someone here has been able to test-drive one and can fill me in.
