Looks like we are adding around 15 to 20 new members a day, which I imagine will escalate once the next wave of N7's hit in August. I would think that by then we add 30 or more a day, so i'm looking at a max of 30 days from now or August 27 we hit 1000 members. To me that sounds like a big achievement, and one worth looking forward too.

 Would like to hear from the mod's on what are notable benchmarks in the growth of a new site and where do you see this site ultimately growing to.

Current members can reply with their guess of the date they think we hit 1000 members here at Nexus 7 forum. Maybe the Mod's can come up with a prank gift for the member that gets it right, or even better a real price?

So my official guess as stated above is  August 27. Winner is the closest to the date without going over. I can keep a running list of members and their guess on this post and will keep it updated. Should have a cutoff for entry by date or by members count. Thinking like once we hit 600 members.

As expected our Nexus 7's are living up to the promise of being extremely fast. Here is a test I did last night. Post yours here. Downloaded URC last night and it works great. Homescreen and all other apps auto rotate without a hitch. Just make sure in settings you choose "Forced Auto" . This is a shot of my homescreen:

Today could be the day a site member gets his or her N7. For sure tomorrow. If you are, be the first to post it, or even if you are not first let us know here when you get it and what you think.  Remember with out a picture posted it didn't happen. The rest of us that will be waiting will enjoy reading about your experiences.

I kinda miff'ed by the success people are having selling Nexus 7's on Ebay. In completed listings there are pages of sold units for 7's that are going to be pre ordered. Auctions going for up to 325 for them. There are some auctions for on hand units ready to ship now that have sold as high as 450. Why? If people go to Google play and order today they will have theres within a week for 227 with tax and shipping. Makes no sense.
 
 Do people just see the spec's for the 7 and figure they are 400 to 600 dollars tablets and don't bother to research, or is it they think there is some crazy backorder wait, but that still makes no sense cause they are paying for pre orders in most cases.

 I ordered a 8gb first yesterday and cancelled it to order a 16. Google shipped both because they didn't have time to cancel the 8 (must have shipped). I wonder if I should keep the 8 instead of refusing it , and then but it on Ebay tonight when it arrives. What do you peeps think? Will there still be a demand this week after systems hit the stores, or should I refuse it?
