New Member Introductions / Downloading games etc that can be used off line

Hi ,
 I would like to know if there any games that you can download that will still be playable when wifi is unavailable , also possible crossword sites that we could use when on a plane . I have downloaded some books and movies that I can access offline but not sure about games etc. - Thanks in advance.

I am 51 yrs old and live in Darlington , UK ,I am married with adult children and also I have grand children , I have recently bought a Nexus and am trying to work my way round it , you will have to forgive me as I am not particularly clued up on a lot of technology and the jargon
