Nexus 7 Help / where are my email addresses stored
« on: September 03, 2014, 04:14:57 PM »
I cannot find a contacts list which contains previously inserted email addresses.
I can look in "People" and indeed some of these have an email address; However some of the "People" do not contain an email address as part of their data, yet if I start to compose an email and write the name of the contact; N7 finds and inserts their address.
Where did it find it?

Nexus 7 Help / Inbox on Tiscali account on lay
« on: February 03, 2014, 09:09:56 AM »
I have successfully been using 4 email accounts.
Today I find that the Tiscali one is only showing the last email received.  The missing ones are not in any other folder and they are still present on my Windows machines.
My Asus Nexus is about a year old and has been updated with the latest operating system - the one which followed "Jellybean".
Please advise.

Nexus 7 General Discussion / In-car Navigation
« on: February 07, 2013, 08:18:42 AM »
On my old Nokia smartphone (5800) I can select and follow a route, with voice guidance, to almost anywhere in the world WITHOUT  being on-line at any stage.  (All Free - using GPS only)
On my N7 I cannot set a route unless I am on-line.  This can be inconvenient when the  start of a new journey is out of range of either wifi or a cellphone signal.
So, why can't the N7 do it Offline?
I have installed some Google Maps for Offline use and installed "Mapquest" (generally very good - and free) but both these sat/nav systems still need to be on-line whilst the route is calculated.
I know you can get round this apparent shortcoming of the N7 by carrying round a MIFI - (if in cellphone range) but it should not be necessary.

Nexus 7 Android OS (Jelly Bean) / Voice Search only answering in text
« on: January 16, 2013, 11:02:35 AM »
Up to 2 days ago a simple voice search e.g. "what is the time in New Zealand" would result in a spoken answer.  Now I only get a list of website options as well as a correct written answer - the one which used to be spoken.  Is this a general fault or just my N7?

When a voice activated search gives you a list of websites; you cannot access these sites by touching' pressing them.  Is this a bug?
