I update my N7 using Wug's Tool Kit with factory zip file. It updated fine and all applications seem to work I lost root and use the Toolkit to root it. Voodo rootkeeper confirms that it is rooted, Titanium Pro says that it is not rooted
The problem is that I can not see my flash drive via OTG cable when using Stickmount I wonder if Stickmount works with 4.3 I install Nexus Media Importer, it reads the flash drive but cannot play any movie ================ Update info I need to Manually root the N7 since both Wugfresh & Skip Toolbox can not root it for 4.3 Can someone spoon-fed me on hot to manually root the N7 or lead me to such instructions As I am not technically good, I appreciate the spoon-fed method
Appreciate any advice how to solve this issue Thanks in advance
==== Problem Solved
I use the CF-Auto-Root-grouper-nakasi-nexus7 from Chainfire and was able to re-root the N7 Stickmount now recognizes the OTG flash drive

I need to download the google play so I can sideload on my Nook Simple Touch (NST) I go to google play store and have no problem downloading it directly to my N7 but can not download to my PC I am aware that this is a N7 forum but my question is a generic one.... I hope to get some expert advise here
I got the NST for $20 @RS and rooted it but unable to get the Google Play directly to the NST. The NST after rooting can be both an e-reader & a tablet (albeit with limited features), it will allow me to read Kindle mobi books as well as epub
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Guys I had in the past had to run factory reset which cleared out all my data and applications so I could update to 4.2.1 and earlier versions This is a painful process to redo Amazon...Playbook..re-registration .etc.... If I were to backup (nandroid backup) , do the factory reset, update the firmware to 4.2.2 (whenever it comes out). Can i use my nandroid back up to bring back my data and applications In anticipating the new firmware's arrival, is it possible that we can have a step by step instructions how to update firmware for rooted N7 Many Thanks

I download the Amazon Kindle for Android on N7 32GB. I also use the Kindle apps to dowload 2 perviously purchase books to the N7. I was able to read the books fine. I noted that during this process it create a Kindle folder on the N7. I wanted to add/copy (side loading) some kindle books on this N7 onto the Kindle folder. I was able to do it on my N7 16GB without problem. However on this 32GB I can not see the Kindle folder on the PC even though it shows using ES Explorer or Astro File Manager
Anyone has same issue. All I want to do is to copy Kindle books to the Kindle folder but can not find the kindle folder when hook up to the PC
++++++++++++++++++++
Problems SOLVED I had to reboot the N7. Hook up to the PC and the Kindle folder is there

In the Nexus Tool Kit, there are nandroid back up & android back up. What is the difference ? Should I back up both options just in case ? When restoring, which one should I use ? Thanks

Hi Guys I tried to update my N7 manually ( before the guide came out) by putting the UPDATE.ZIP on the N7 (sd) it took the manual update but it can not reboot normally It stucks at he symbol X forever. I tried to power on and off a few times but it still stuck. Since it did not boot up, the PC does not recognize the N7 for me to use the Nexus Tool Kit to restore the factory default Any idea I can recover this so my N7 does not become a paper weight ? the N7 is unlocked and rooted Thanks
