Nexus 7 Connect (MicroUSB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Pogo Pin) / I don't have Gallery app

My Nexus 7 2012 does not have the Gallery app but does have Photo app.  I am running Android 5.  How do I delete all (not 1 but all) photos and yet keep them on the cloud.  I have saved them on the cloud already but I want to free up space on my device by deleting them from there.  Also how can I get the Gallery app?
