Hi, I love my N7 (Jellybean with latest updates) and still have to learn a lot about the new to me Android System.
How can I download the Nexus Guide Book that is located within the book icon on the N7 and save it so that I can save it to laptop or other storage device?
Also, is there a way to search what is on the N7? I have added some document files from the laptop to the N7 via the USB Cable. When it's plugged in, I can see the files but when it's unplugged I can't find them.
I would like to create a new icon (but how?) on the start up screen and place the documents into it.
I will appreciate any suggestions and have learned a lot from this forum. Thanks to all of the helpful members!

Hi, I have backed up my N7 files (shared data backup and total backup) using the Wugfresh Toolkit. Accidentally, I changed the file "opening with with Adobe"
Now of course they will not open. I need to change the file extension back to .ab
I can right click the Adobe Files and go to "open with" and browse. My problem is that I don't know what to use with "open with"
Does anybody have any suggestion?
I'm planning on rooting (& donating to the developer for a great program) at a later date because I want to make sure that I have everything backed up properly.

Hi, I have updated to the latest OTA 4.1.2 on my Nexus and have downloaded the latest version of the (Wugfresh) Nexus Tool Kit on the laptop. Also, I
downloaded the "OTA Root Keeper" from Goggle to my Nexus. '"USB Debugging" is set.
At this point I would like to back up everything (OS & all of my apps. contacts, etc.) to my Laptop.
Do I have to install the drivers to the laptop first?
Should I use "Shared Data?
Backup to "Virtual SD" Card?
Backup "APN"?
I figured out that OTA is the Nexus's OS
What does "TWRP"...."CWM"...CMD"(command?) stand for?

Hi, is there a way to back Nexus7 files and downloaded apps. to my laptop without the Nexus Tool Kit?
I have not seen this questions in Search and hope it's not redundant.
If a Tool Kit is required, which one would you suggest?

Hi,
aside from my Gmail address I also have a Yahoo.com email address on my Nexus7. Yahoo gets a lot of spam. Is there a way to "select all" to place it into the trash bin?
So far I have to tick every spam mail separately and then put it all into the trash. In my Yahoo Mail on the laptop I have the option to "select all". This saves a lot of time.
Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Hi, I'm fairly new to my Nexus7 and love it.
I have downloaded the Nexus7 Tool Kit v2.0.0
Unlocking and Rooting seems pretty much straight forward following the detailed instructions. My question: If I backup all of my apps and data, where will they be located? If rooting the nexus erases all data, how can I restore all of my purchased apps and data?
Can I backup everything? Will it be located on my Win7 PC?
This is probably beyond basic but I haven't been able to find a post that confirms exactly where the backup is located.

Hi, I have downloaded & paid for the Bubble Breaker Pure Version.
After downloading this app, it doesn't show on any start up screen. It shows up in my app. page as installed along with the other apps I have downloaded. The only option available is to uninstall. I have even done that and reinstalled but with the same results.
I have tried to contact the developer but have not been able to get any answer. It's frustrating!
Does anybody have any problem with this app.?

Hi, I don't want to delete UTube. When I open this app., I found a bunch of videos on it that I would like to delete. Have not been able to find a way to do it or found anything about it in "search".
My husbands IPad has some of those videos and we have a wireless router. Is this how the videos got on to the Nexus7?
Can anybody tell me how to delete those videos without deleting UTube.

This must be a very, very basic question, because I can't seem to find the answer.....
Have connected Nexus with laptop via USB Cable. Nothing is happening....Have installed "Evernote", typed in several files on the laptop and hoped to sync it to the Nexus.
Have looked in Settings-Account- Google but didn't find anything that would help. Do I have to download an app. for that?
I will very much appreciate any suggestions.

I have my Nexus7 (Jellybean) for a couple of days now and love it.
Have learned a lot with the help of this great forum.
Have downloaded "Lookout" to hopefully stay ahead of any viruses, etc. . Also, have downloaded "Kingsof Office", which is amazing.
Now I'm wondering if I need some kind of "Defrag". If I uninstall and application, do I just drag it to the trash?
Before shutting the Nexus down, do I have to check (if so...how?) if any app. is still running. Is there a way to keep the OS optimized?
Again, I appreciate your advice very much!

Hi,
is there a way to move and the icons on the screen that comes up when pressing the circle with the 6 dots.
Aside from my Google Mail I have another mail account and would like to combine those 2 icons to make a folder and then move it to the start up screen.
There are a couple of icons I really don't want on the screen that come up with the dots. I don't know if this screen has a special name.
I love the Nexus but still have a lot to learn. Thank you all for this forum!

Hi, I finally got my brand new Nexus7 16GB and love it. The start up screen has magazine & movie ads.
I don't plan to use my Nexus for watching movies or magazines.
How can I get rid of the ads? Also, is there a way to delete the Messenger Icon? I have tried to move it up to the trash can but it doesn't work.
If anybody has any suggestions, I will appreciate it very much.
