i use Revlinux OS(beta) an off shoot of kde 12.04 and after checking out the web managed to get my nexus 7 recognised using gmtp from synaptic(will not show up as a device but running the program and hitting the connect button brings up the contents of my nexus7. from what i can remember the most talked about subject was the speed of transfers being slow but what the heck it works.

will see if the n300 is available in the UK. use a devolo dlan at this time but classed as obslete now and superceeded.

having only recently become a tablet owner i.e the 7. i was lucky to spot from some forum i read about the 7 that when installing an app always check the permissions. if it seems to want to much then simply do not install. have avast installed but avg always scans any app i install.

i am in berkshire ( a place a poet said should be bombed    ) and rooted the 7. had no problems to date except getting rid of space hogging cwm backups. (search through the forum help sort that out). used the build.prop fix to give me full tablet which i like. tried the new update, did not like it at all. went back to the build.prop fix. annoying when some good apps are not compatible. found like others that if you can get hold of the apk then you have a better chance of the app working.

  1st tablet I have ever purchased. chose the 7 because i use linux.  (Mint/Revlinux).  manage to root without any problems. still learning and will probably need help in the future.
