Android 4.1.2 Update Incoming: Landscape Home Screen!

I wish it fixed the bootloader.  Three of us (all rooted) were unable to get into recovery after upgrading to 4.1.2.  CBers, Jpcalhoun, and I all couldn't get into recovery with 4.1.2.

Are you able to enter recovery through the bootloader while plugged into USB?

IDK.  I flashed Clockworkmod 6.0.1.0, so I no longer have the stock recovery.  Now when I want to go to recovery, I'm in CWM's custom recovery, which works every time.

Do you mean you couldn't get into stock recovery or custom recovery?
And do you mean a cold boot into recovery?

I updated both ways with my N7, the OTA update and the update zip and I used NRT to root and install TWRP recovery (forgot to use Voodoo) and I had no problems entering recovery, stock or custom and that includes from a cold boot.

Jaay, I couldn't get into stock recovery from Android OS or cold boot. All attempts to get to stock recovery after the upgrade left me at the dead Android icon.

CWM 's custom recovery works every time.

Your build includes the binary update. This added updates drivers for the touch sensitivity, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth, GPS, orientation sensor, graphics GPU, CPU,  and DRM. This binary update solved many bugs, however, build JRo03S is still android version 4.1.1.  Build JZo05k is android version 4.1.2. The change in the version number signifies a change in the UI (user interface). This is apparent in the new feature of landscape rotation at the homescreen and app drawer. The new version update also includes all the bug fixes, including the bootloader.

Interesting, I take it that in time the developers will finish an update for my build and that the earlier build was in sooner need of the bug fixes

I had no problems rebooting or cold booting to recovery on 4.1.2, either the OTA update or the zip update...

I know that the update did in fact include a change to the notification expand.  I believe that it was altered to use one finger instead of two somehow.

I know it can now do one finger expand, but I find two finger expand to be faster and I'm already used to it; it just doesn't seem to work right anymore.  So, is that a bug, and both should work correctly, or did they abandon two finger in favor of one finger?  Anyone know?

Well today I was able to ota upstate to 4.1.2

At 2:20 EDT it just appeared all on its own on my stock N7. Under 10 minutes to install.

I had manually checked around 6AM this morning without success.

Thanks to Google for landscape mode.  I'll still keep the Rotate app, but if I hadn't already paid for it already, who knows?
