Ok, I will be going to Walmart tonight (after the Balck Friday rush) and buying my wife and I his and her Nexus 7s. Took 2 days of reading reviews and researching tablets before making my choice. I actually found it funny because every time I read about a tablet they compared it to the Nexus 7 so it soon became obvious it was the standard others were trying to reach.
My wife and I own Android phones so we're relatively familiar with the Android operating system. It was our phones that made us decide to go with a tablet. We got in the habit at night of using our phones to look at Ebay and check news and things in bed before going to sleep. The problem is a phone has a smallish screen size (our eyes are pushing 50 soon) and memory so we don't have a ton of apps on them.
What I want to know as I get ready to get our tablets is what should I know? Here's how we'll be using them.
My wife will be using them to get books from the library. We have Kindle e-readers but our library has a lot of e-books that are not available for Kindle so she wants the N7 as an alternate for reading library books. She'll also be using it to check Ebay, e-mail while at work and some light gaming.
For me I mostly will use it for checking the news, sports and weather. I also will be doing some light gaming, PDF storage and web surfing.
Neither of us plan on downloading any movies, TV shows or music (thus we don't need the bigger 32 gig version).
