Thanks Loocid  and Matt. I use BS and it's been working pretty well for me since I have gotten Fios.  I tried the drop frames when things were bad and didn't notice a difference. I was using Clear 4g or tethering to my 3g cell at my old spot but I have issues at the new house.  CDMA network doesn't work too well on my property. That is a recipe for disaster when trying to run Tvportal.

Had to open my big mouth.  Lol. Stuttering now.  Changing settings as we speak.
Bluetooth. Toggle on off helps.

if performance continues to be poor, you can try a N7 direct wire LAN connection with an OTG adapter and ethernet adapter.  This inexpensive one is known to work without any mods or rooting required - just plug it in (everything else connected prior to microUSb connect as usual).  I get about 10 times the speed over wired vs WiFi myself and never see any stutter on non-1080 HD streams and rarely with those on the LAN.
