The Nexus 7.2 is “longer and thiner [sic]”, with dimensions of 204.4 x 115.6 x (?) millimeters compared with the current Nexus 7 at, 198.5×120×10.56 mm. Although I cannot find anything on the thickness of the 7.2, I am guessing that it will be less than the 10.56 mm that we currently have on the Nexus 7. I am also suggesting that the wider bezel on the sides when in landscape mode, the offset FFC (Front Facing Camera), and the orientation of the Nexus Logo on the back, may be an indication that Google expects the 7.2 to be used heavily in landscape mode, which would be an exact reversal of their thinking when the Nexus 7 was originally released with the home screen locked in portrait mode. So what are your thoughts on the design change?
