Google Play Store Adds 'Wishlist' Feature

An oft asked for addition to the Google Play Store should be rolling out to your Google Play Store apps any time now if it hasn't already and will add a 'Wish List' icon and function to the Google Play Store.   As you can see in the image above a 'bookmark' symbol with a '+' sign in it will now appear on any Google Play Store content including apps, games, music, movies and books.   You simply tap the icon and you'll see the 'adding to wishlist' pop up notation and presto...it's done!  You can view your wishlist at any time by simply choosing it from the menu.   You can use the 'wishlist' to save those items you're planning to purchase but just haven't decided for whatever reason to pull the trigger yet.  With the holidays coming up this should come in handy so start wishlisting!

Already available on my Play Store, version 3.9.16 and here's a screenshot.



The only downside is this is a per account feature and not a per device feature, the apps I placed in the wishlist where done on my S2 and these screenshots were taken on my N7.

Think I would use it if it had a feature like when an app has lowered it's price or is a one day/week freebee, it sends you a notification email.  That way you could jump on sales etc.

Consider the advantage of JayJ's suggestion of a sale price notification, in this way, if the developer decides to run a $6.00 app at 50% off to generate capital, wouldn't the developer benefit from having a ready market of users who balk at paying the full price, but would be highly likely to purchase the app at 50% off.

I was joking around. I figured that the wishlist would absolutely have a notification attached to it. Seems thoughtless that it doesn't.
