How much will you pay for a Nexus 10?

If Google uses the same business business model, I don't plan on paying close to that much! The N7 cost around $150 to make. Retailing at $200, after the retailer's cut, the profit margin is around 15%. After advertising, shipping, etc... they don't make much on these things. Given the same circumstances with the N10, I can't justify paying more than a $350 debut.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the 32GB model will start at $299.  I might be 'wishful thinking' as I think a more realistic price is probably $349 but hey...a guy can dream, can't he?   Oh, and for those that read this post...although I haven't 'officially' announced it in the forum I've set up a forum for the Nexus 10 at http://nexus10forum.net.  Feel free to come by and register if you're interested in the Nexus 10.  I'll make an 'official' announcement that the forum is open sometime near the official unveiling of the tablet.

My vote was $329, but I think that will be a Google mistake. So I am with BFM on this one and think the N10 will be a huge success at $299. I have registered for the Nexus 10 forum, but reserved my commitment to purchase until Google gives us a price. BTW, I will jump on $299. :-)

strollin, has reminded me of a personal comment, that I made after purchasing my first tablet. I would be money ahead if I could maintain that conviction.

The reason I say so much is that I am really hoping for a really nice high end device. I love the Xoom 2 and would pay 599 for a Xoom 2 if it had 2gb of ram and a nice quad core processor.

I agree with Prime, in that, the $299 price will make it sell like gangbusters.  Much more than that, I think the iPad market would be encroached, and I think sales would dip dramatically.

If we look at the poll, no one thought the Nexus 10 would come in at the $399, "Buy in Point", so at this point, I am taking a step back and scratching my head.  For me, I will take a wait and see approach, as to the possible Google incentives, but I will definitely state that, I will not pay, out of pocket, the $499, "Apple established "Buy in Point", of $499", debate as you wish the features, it is still $499. Google broke the mold and was successful with the Nexus 7's pricing and I predict, that it will remain so, but I think the Nexus 10 fails to achieve the Nexus 7's advantage. I reserve the right to make a future choice to purchase the Nexus 10.
