exploring the memory

hello,
im relativity new to my nexus 7 and by no mean an expert with computers etc but im not exactly clueless.

anyway the question i would like to put to everyone is, can i gain access to the internal memory (i believe its called /storage/SDcard) id like to explore/delete/move items on it, now i do not have a computer to use other wise i would just connect it to it obviously. is there a way to get on to it via the device itself?

i can view what is on /storage/SDcard via the file scanner function on AVG anti-virus, so i believe its possible but just not sure how???

my device is not rooted or anything its completely standard.

any help is much appreciated

If you don't have a computer, what will you move files to/from?

The sdcard is soldered to the motherboard,  so you can't remove it.

moving pictures from folder to folder i also copied music to it that it didnt recognize and cannot delete as i cant gain access to /storage/SDcard........

and i know the sdcard is soldered to the motherboard....... i never asked about taking the sdcard out.....

Can you not hitch a lift on a pc/laptop, it is then easy to access via the pc/laptop selecting the N& from "Computer".

Connection is via the IUSB cable supplied with the Nexus.

Solid explorer is dual pane, makes it easier to move files from say downloads to music folder. Or sub folders on computer to tablet over network.

Likewise, X-plore is dual pane and I agree that using a dual pane "memory" explorer is much easier and intuitive vs the other apps mentioned, which I also have used.

Try several and decide on which you prefer - no reason why you cannot use 2 for different purposes either, but my goto directory manager is X-plore.
