My Nexus won't charge up from a dead battery.

Hiya,

I'm new here, not new to Android though, imagine my surprise when I found I couldn't charge it up from a dead battery, meaning the battery was totally used up, dead as a dodo, it just will not charge at all using the official Asus charger, it knows that there is a charger plugged in cause it's trying to boot up, then it dies &  does it again. OS is 4.2.

My Transformer Prime died and it took a while for it to get some power in it, before it started charging again.

Someone has reported that pulling the USB while it's trying to boot and plugging it back in was helpful.
