I've seen this floating around as well, and quite funny.  The first few unboxing videos I saw from folks who attended the Google IO conference all ran into the same thing... and I especially love the one where the guy tries to open it with one of those plastic things you put in your collar.  The first 5 minutes of the video were trying to get the tape off.

Yeah I"ll have a knife in hand when I go to open mine since I generally keep my boxes just in-case I sell the unit or need to send it back in for repairs.

samalex, I'm with you on opening with knife, a sharp knife as I always keep my boxes, it drives my wife crazy but when the N7 II comes out I can put this one on eBay.
