Screen bleeding
« on: December 30, 2012, 08:18:49 AM »
Hi all

Santa bought me a nexus 7 for Christmas and I love it, I have however noticed a tiny bit of screen bleeding, I can put up with it but my question is will it get worse? Or is that as bad as it will get?

Thanks all

Chris

Hi Chris and I will go ahead and say, glad to have you, and I hope you will take the time to post in "New Member Introductions". As for your screen bleeding question, my screen has no issues, so my suggestion is to seek a replacement, since your tablet is showing issues out of the box.

Hi thanks i will post in there now!

I have thought about sending it back but its really so so so small its barely noticeable and everything is else perfect, i.e screen not popping out etc...i bought it form google, and i guess i have a years warranty should it get worse.

Thanks for your reply though

Generally screen bleeding will not get worse. Most tablets have it because of the technology of the screens. You may get a replacement that has it even worse so if you feel it is really small and you can live with it than keep it.

I have a little screen bleed from when my Nexus scraped the cement. It hasn't seemed to get any worse over the past month or so since its happened.

I have honestly never paid much attention to the screen bleed discussion especially on the iPad 2. With multiple Android phones and tablets I have never noticed it even if it has existed and I also see suggestions for using a solid black background to determine if you have the problem, so my question for those of you who have seen it, is, "Do you consider it an issue or not?"

It was on my old transformer. It all depends on how bad it is.

I would have never have known what it was if I didn't hear people complaining about it. Its on the edge of the screen for Pete's sake.

Like I said there are varying degrees of it. On my old transformer is was in the four corners and the middle of the screen

Absolutely. I wasn't saying there aren't severe cases. I am just saying I never owned a device that I noticed it on until I was made aware that it could be a problem.  I have seen cases online that are intolerable.
