I would go Amazon or EBay. Specify the Nexus 7. I think I remember reading you want something 2 Amp. I have one of those generic USB jawns that I bought at 5 below. It works but is real slow. Just keeps me barely afloat.

I have just purchased a car charger from Amazon for about £2.  it will also fit my O2 MIFI unit.

I used it yesterday.  I drove from Atlanta, Georgia to Montgomery, Alabama; about 2-1/2 hours. I was able to charge my NEXUS 7 from 43% to 100%.  I was listening to music on the NEXUS 7 that was transmitted via Bluetooth to the vehicle stereo system (Ford SYNC).  I also charged my cell (Droid 3) from 40% to 100%.  I used the Droid 3 for GPS and for about 10 minutes worth of calls during the trip.

This  charger works great for me.
