Bluetooth connecting to Win 8 laptop?

I have a Samsung Series 5 Ultra book running Windows 8.
This is an i5 chipset with a touch screen.

I am trying to connect my 32gig Nexus 7 to it via bluetooth.
Now I can get them to pair but not actually connect so I can
transfer files, pics, exc.

The Ultra books shows the N7 as offline.
I am using a bluetooth mouse on the Ultrabook.

Any help would be awesome.
