Just ordered my Asus Nexus 7 32gb yesterday. Should be here next week. I'm a retired electrical engineer that now works for several law enforcement agencies as an IT and technical advisor. My first Android device was an original Motorola Droid  purchased in 2009. Since then I've added a Droid X and Samsung Galaxy S III for my phones and a Toshiba Thrive as my tablet. The Thrive just had a spontaneous glass shatter event. ;-(  So I thought I would get the Nexus 7 while I wait for the next "big" thing in a 10.1

Looks like a great resource here. I'll be rummaging around the forum to see what i can learn about my new Nexus. Thanks for all the effort to create this resource!!!

Glad to have you. I tried a Thrive when it first came out and returned it in favor of a Thinkpad Tablet and now I have never regretted my Nexus 7 choice as my carry around device.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. There's a lot of good information on this forum. I spent a couple hours last night on the forum and hardly scratched the surface.
