The Nexus 7 does not come with a HDMI port and the Google Dock does not have HDMI out either. MHL adapters are another option, but the USB port on our Nexus 7 does not support MHL. There is rumored HDMI capability with the pogo pins on our Nexus 7, but I have yet to see a working adapter. Although there are many devices sold on the internet claiming to be MHL adapters for the Nexus 7, I have yet to hear of one that actually works. If your HDTV is an internet TV you can use the App,
iMediaShare from the Google Play Store, that I have heard works well, but I have not actually used. Your other option is the Nexus 10, which does have a HDMI out port, which I can verify, works quite well. If anyone finds a workable solution for connecting your Nexus 7 to an external monitor or HDTV, please post your experience.
