Spell check in google drive

I'm using google drive to edit my documents and it seems good so far except that I can't seem to make the spell check work in it.  I am using an external keyboard and am wondering if this could be causing the problem but my spell check seems to be working in all other programs.  If someone could tell me what the problem could be I would really appreciate it.  Thanks, Elaria.

My spell check is originated by my keyboard app.  Give SwiftKey for tablets a try..
