Chromecast Warning
« on: September 05, 2013, 04:34:06 PM »
I have had my Chromecast for a while now and although limited atm to a few apps , I love it. However, I have noticed that when media is finished it returns to a splash screen. The splash screen shows Ready to Cast in big letters across the top right of the screen. I fell asleep for a couple hours and The letters have started to burn into my pretty new Panny TC P50. I think there might be a setting on my TV for a screensaver when static images occur. Not sure. I have to look into a remedy.
Just wanted to warn folks.

I have a 42" Plasma screen Panasonic TV and have Sky satellite TV, this includes live pause. In the bottom left corner of the screen there is a small box which shows the pause icon and over the 4yrs I have had the TV and satellite it has caused screen burn. It does annoy me, every now and then you can see the burn, mainly when the screen image goes light and the burn which appears as a dark shadow.

I feel your pain bro...
