Firefox installing shortcuts on desktop

I installed Firefox to use the flash plug in and now I find all kinds of shortcuts appearing on my desktop, At first I thought they were new apps but they don't show up in the apps screen in settings so I assume they are shortcuts.
Has anyone else run into this?

I delete them and new ones show up the next time I use my tablet....

Never happens to me. I use Firefox with Flash. Did you try to delete and reinstall?

No, haven't done that yet...but it is next. At first I thought they were apps that had been installed, but it turns out they are shortcuts to all kinds of social sites, dating, etc. It's junk because I hadn't used Firefox yet.......

Spam? Sounds like you downloaded a rogue app somewhere. I would go through your apps thoroughly and get rid of it quick. It is probably something recent that you loaded.
