Unable to open the device
« on: October 08, 2013, 01:04:31 AM »
I bought my Nexus while on holiday in the USA and it worked for a month but now will not open when I tap the screen. It just will not function though the device opens up but will not respond to my password input. I am now back in the UK and concerned that I may have to send it back to America for repair. Any suggestions?

I would try a reset of the device before I went through the hassle of sending it b back.

I can't remember the button sequence but you should be able to Google that.

For a factory reset, go to Settings / Backup Reset and choose factory reset. Backup your data, your device will be reset to factory state.

He can't open the device, therefore he needs to. get the sequence you press while plugging in the unit.

From off ,Hold the power and the volume button down at the same time. I think that will bring you to recovery /menu to do a reset. Warning..You will lose some of the files that have not been backed up.
