MKBHD Reviews The Nexus 7 2013 - Best Android Tablet You Can Buy
« on: December 06, 2013, 06:55:30 PM »

With the holiday season upon us we know tablets are one of the most popular gifts.  With so many brands, form factors and prices in the Android world we thought we'd spotlight a review that really nails why the Nexus 7 is the best tablet out there at the moment.  Marques Brownlee has become somewhat of an internet sensation in the tech world over the last year.  His reviews are honest, he's articulate and smart and he knows his tech devices like nobody's business.  He's also a college student who is in tune with everything the younger generation values in their tech devices.

Marques calls the Nexus 7 'the best android tablet you can buy' right now and he gives three main reasons for this.  First, he loves the form factor which is even lighter and thinner than last year's already lightweight design.  Second he's absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible screen on the new Nexus 7 which he calls the brightest, highest resolution and just all around most awesome he's used to date. In fact just firing up an app on the screen makes him smile it's so good.   Finally he loves the performance of the 2013 Nexus 7, especially the stock Android experience you get.  He goes as far as to say that while some phone manufacturers have done a decent job of creating skins that are enjoyable to use on the phone form factor, nobody comes close to matching the tablet experience of pure Android and thus only the Nexus 7 and its big brother Nexus 10 should even be considered.

Now of course he has some quibbles too.  The speakers are only of mediocre quality and the battery life, while good, can't be considered 'great'.  Still...the bottom line is clear...if you're looking for an Android tablet this holiday season, you can't go wrong with the Nexus 7 2013 edition.  It'll bring a smile to your face.  It's just that good.  Of course you can pick up the Nexus 7 at Google's own Play Store and we'll continue to highlight sale prices as we find them across the web right through the holidays to save you a few bucks where we can.
