resolution for converting dvds
« on: December 20, 2013, 03:29:09 PM »
Hi , I,m new to this forum, have just got a 2012 nexus 7 and have been trying to convert some dvds to view on it, now I,m not very good with computers and been ripping the vts files to my hard drive using any dvd and converting them with dvd catalyst 4, which is a slow process, dvd catalyst seems to choose its own resolution, what is the correct resolution for viewing these files so they play full screen on the nexus, I chose 720 by 480 and dvd catalyst changed it to 720 by 296, which resulted in black borders top and bottom, please bear with me as I am new to all this but willing to learn, thanks in advance

If DVD Catalyst doesn't show your device, check wit the developer, I have been very pleased with their response.

Thank you for your response, yes it shows the nexus 7 in the drop down list and I chose that, however it still changed the resolution, to be fair its still perfectly viewable, I just wanted it full screen
