Hello,
I purchased the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet when it was first released. I don’t use it very much so I turn it completely off (press and hold power button – not sleep mode) to keep the battery from discharging. I noticed that my Nexus 7 discharges around 6 percent a day when turned completely off. After fully charging the Nexus 7 (100 percent charge) and leaving it sit on the shelf completely turned off for a week, when I turn it back on, the charge is only around 50 percent. If I leave it completely off for two weeks after fully charging it, my Nexus 7 will not turn back on until I charge it.
I sent my Nexus 7 to ASUS for service twice. The first time they upgraded the firmware and said no problem found. The second time it came back they replaced the battery.
I’m still having the same problem with my Nexus 7 discharging 6 percent a day when completely turned off.
Is this normal for this type of discharge? I used my Nexus 10 mostly but when I want to use my Nexus 7 it’s usually completely discharged.
Can anyone turn their Nexus 7 completely off for 24 hours and note the amount of battery discharge in that period?
Did your Nexus 7 turn on when you first unboxed it without charging it?
When I unboxed my Nexus 7 (2013), it would not turn on (completely dead). I let it charge for a few hours and it came to life. I was just wondering if anyone here had the same problem or do you remember the battery percentage charge your Nexus 7 had when first turned on. My Nexus 10 had an 80 percent charge when I unboxed it.
Thanks,
Chuck
