newbie saying hi
« on: July 26, 2012, 03:48:38 PM »
Evening all!
Had my nexus for a few days now but been too busy with work to have a good play on it.
I'm a newbie to both android and tablets so a whole new experience to me!
So far so good, seems very customisable.
Struggling to workout how to get my £15 Google play credit though, any pointers much appreciated!
I have signed up to Google play and Google wallet but no luck !?
ThNks Brian

Welcome to the forum dangerousbh. From my experience, when you setup your Google Wallet with a credit card, you will receive an email to your gmail account confirming the credit. Then you will then have an option using the dropdown key to pay with your credit at the Google Pay Store.

Thanks. I wondered about that, too. Welcome, Brian. I'm basically a noob, too.  But what fun! All the guys at worrk are drooling over my little beauty.

Welcome to the forum. Try to not let that work thing get in the way of getting to know your Nexus.  ;)

Finally got an evening off to have a bit of nexus time!
Still have not worked out how to get my Google play credit. Set up my account t as instructed but no luck yet unfortunately' seen some screenshots of what I should be looking for, and have purchased an app to see if that helped the process but drawn a blank!
Shall spend a bit of time this evening trying to work it out further if not might try to email support for help!
Other than this slight issue I'm loving my nexus and Enjoying it loads! Will Be keeping an eye on the forum for all your help and advice!

When I purchased my N7 from Staples and signed in to sync my gmail account the credit just automatically hit my account. Have you sync'ed your gmail yet on your N7?

Hi thanks for your reply, yes I have synced my gmail account to my nexus.
Keeps taking my money nonetheless haha!
The only thing that can't sync at this present moment for some reason
Is Google+. Not sure how much bearing that has on my £15 credit?!
Shall keep trying though......

Sorted it, just deleted my gmail account and reset it up, simples my credit was there plus the nexus guidebook and transformers! Don't know why it didn't work in the first instance but never mind.
Spent all of last night getting to grips with my nexus and it is fabulous. Downloaded and set up SNES and nes ROMs, the tegra designed games are great to play and visually superb.
Hmmm what to do next on it, still can't put it down!

@ dangerousbh

Can you create a new topic on SNES and share some of your gaming experience. For those of you, like me, who are not gamers or are new to Android, SNES is Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
