Hello All,
My name is Scott and I'm new to this forum. I'm posting this before even looking completely around. I ordered my first Nexus 7 on 7/27 and received it on 8/1 with severe flicker. I started the process to get a replacement and received it on 8/9 with an obviously lifted left side that clicked when pressed on. On 8/10 I sent both back to Google and initiated a second replacement order that will be here tomorrow (my birthday). Needless to say, I hope the third one is the charm, as the saying goes. I am willing to accept minor defects that don't interfere with the functionality but that hasn't been the case yet.
I come from an IT background and have enjoyed Android since my Motorola Backflip (Fell in the river, never worked again) years ago. Since then I've had a Nook Color (CM7, Daughter uses it), HP Touchpad (CM9, sold it for a profit), Motorola Atrix 4G (Stock, sold it), Motorola Photon 4G (Stock, Current work phone) and my wife uses a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Stock, ATT). I tend to use ROMs only when absolutely necessary (Nook Color and HP Touchpad were not full featured Android devices as stock).
I hope this wasn't too long.
Scott
