How to delete some videos from UTube
« on: September 05, 2012, 04:40:40 PM »
Hi, I don't want to delete UTube. When I open this app., I found  a bunch of videos on it that I would like to delete. Have not been able to find a way to do it or found anything about it in "search".
My husbands IPad has some of those videos and we have a wireless router. Is this how the videos got on to the Nexus7?
Can anybody tell me how to delete those videos without deleting UTube.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

You can't, You Tube is a video hosting site and the videos you are seeing are part of the site. It's an app version of the website and the videos are in no shape or form on your Nexus 7, they're streamed.

Here's how to actually clear them from the play list on your N7... The only reason why they are showing up is because you are subscribed to the user that posted the video. If you really want to remove them from your N7 unsubscribe to them. Easy fix.

That's sort of true but you get recommended videos whether you've subscribed to channels or not.
I'm not sure how YouTube works now because I have an account and opening the app automatically signs you in but I remember earlier versions of YT that didn't sign you in automatically and when you opened the app without being signed in you'd still have recommended or popular video being suggested. I'm not sure what happens if you don't have a YT account and you open the app, it's a Google account so maybe you automatically get a YT account?

Thank you both for writing.  Husband subscribed to some of it on his iPad. I guess our wireless router has picked it up.
At least they didn't actually download into the Nexus and now I know how to deal with them better. Thanks again!!
