.... they said I could not cancel my order because it's already at ups.
If it is already at UPS, then it has shipped. I stand by my first statement.

Probably sick of the complaints. And we're sick of complaining... If they don't want to hear it, maybe they should consider their customers next time, and do a better job of it.

I just got off the phone with Google. I ordered mine at 3:39 pm on 6-27 and my card has not been charged yet. They told me that mine would definitely ship today by 2 day ups and would be delivered on Tuesday 7-17. Somehow, I just don't believe them. I told them I'd like to cancel my order so I can pick it up locally (not really my intention) and they said I could not cancel my order because it's already at ups.

Placed my order on 7/1; Google said it was shipping on 7/12
Interesting... I ordered on 6/27 and still don't have a shipping notice.

Lol us... For whatever reason at all gamestops the N7 is showing up as $99,999.99
Well, that should cut down on a lot of sales.

Google just charged my card, so I'm guessing I'll get a shipping notice sometime today.

Maybe they just want to raise everyone's level of concern...
You might be right, but they had this thing over-hyped at least 10 days ago. Now all they are doing is pissing people off. They really should be all about getting the N7 into peoples hands at this time. The time for hoopla is long over, it's now time to deliver. At least that's my 2 cents worth.

I ordered my Nexus 7 on June 27 at 1:47pm.
That "should" put me at or near the top of the list for fulfilling orders.
There has been no shipping notice, and my card has still not been charged.
So what does that all mean? Should I go take another nap for a few days until they figure out how to conduct a business? What's with all the drama?

Well, it can't be totally undocumented. Google/Asus had to tell the manufacturers, or they wouldn't be offering the "smart covers" for sale. They had to know ahead of time, that feature was coming.
Seems Google is good at keeping the consumers in the dark. They are doing it with the ship date also. Wonder what else they aren't telling us?

This was a post from comments on the " The Verge", I still have not been charged from the play store. I ordered the 16 gig on the 2nd.
I thought that meant that YOU had been charged for the tab. You forgot to use the "quotes". I got all excited for nothing.

Saw this post also, preordered mine on the 2nd, no charge yet.
Google charged my card today (7/11/12.) I preordered from the Play Store on 7/3/12. This is not the initial hold they place (that already happened and was released.) This is the real charge – indicating its shipping. Yay.

I ordered mine from the Play Store on 6/27/12, and they still have NOT charged my card. I ordered the 8gig machine. Which one did you order?

If you read what I read (see my previous post) it seems that the issue is deeper than just software and an external converter. Does this forum allow links to other forms? If not, just read my last posting.
Yeah, I read that, and a bunch more on other sites. That's why the "massive confusion" reference. There are others that contradict what you are referring to. How are we supposed to know what's real and what isn't? My post was just my best guess after reading a lot of confusing articles on the HDMI issue. You are thinking that we are just out of luck. (I hope you are wrong, but you could be right.) We should know for sure in a few weeks after the expert hackers have a go at it. Boy, I wish they would just ship the tablets already...
