When a Nexus 7 mates with a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet
« on: October 10, 2012, 03:46:46 PM »
I know there's a few members here who have come via the Thinkpad Tablet route.

Well if you're got the keyboard folio case (http://the-gadgeteer.com/2012/07/23/lenovo-thinkpad-tablet-keyboard-folio-case-quick-review/ ) here's what you get :)

The Folio Keyboard really is a good keyboard and you only need to add a $1 OTG cable.  It might not be the neatest or lightest solution about but............

With the "death" of Lenovo's Tablet it might be worth keeping your eyes peeled as you might be able to pick up the Folio cheap

Damn, I missed my chance at one of those for only $99 US + Tax + Shipping, but then again it might not fix in the drawer where my ThinkPad Tablet found a resting place less than a year from the $600 purchase date. ;D

$99 ?I can buy direct from Lenovo for $75 with shipping here in OZ :)

My Thinkpad hasn't seen much action since I got my Nexus. I picked it up last night for the first time since getting the Nexus and it was just so big and heavy.

I'm going to try an Adonit  http://adonit.net/product/jot-pro/ and  gosmart capacitive pen http://justgosmart.com/stylus/ and see how I go running Quill and Sketchbook Pro on the Nexus :)

It'll be just like the "old days" ( less than a year ago) before the Thinkpad had proper palm rejection, but it just might work :)

I tried SketchBook Pro with a really nice captive stylus from Portenzo and found it difficult to use without palm rejection, but Quill could be a possibility for note taking. So I will give it a try.
