Another (old!!) Newbie!!

 Hi all, Names Fred, User name Comp, and a new tablet user.
I bought a Tesco Hudl 3 weeks ago, and , although its performance when working was OK, had problems with intermittent touchscreen response, mainly on the left hand side.
This unit was replaced, but the new one has very poor GPS performance, and some touchscreen issues, as well. I contacted Tesco's, who agreed to refund me, and I decided to upgrade, so am about to become a Nexus 7013 32Gb owner, on Monday!!! 
I am a radio Ham, love some of the apps I have seen in the Play Store, so get ready for the usual daft/stoopid newbie questions!!!
